What Does A Life Coach Do?
Life coaches work with their clients to help them achieve their goals, overcome obstacles, and make changes or shifts in their lives. The coach works with the client, as a partner, believing that the client has the answers to create the changes they seek. The client can be an individual or a group and the coachable issues range from general life balance, transitions such as divorce, career, parenthood to executive challenges in corporations and firms.
The Life Coach is kind of like a sculptor who can look at you with a fresh perspective and see the potential for you to achieve all you desire . Through specific strategies and skills the coach helps you to define yourself and create the life you envision. Life coaches help you to design a plan, create detailed action steps, make commitments to yourself to motivate you and they hold you accountable for following through. They use skills such as deeply listening, observing, asking empowering questions, challenging and ultimately guiding you towards your own solutions for change.

Coaching By Telephone
Much of individual life coaching takes place over the phone. Coaching by phone has many benefits and has been proven by coaches for decades. The main benefit of phone coaching is that it allows for coaches to work with clients in any location or time zone.
Face To Face Coaching
In some cases coaches meet with their clients in person either in an office or home. This can be determined on a case by case basis considering the proximity of the coach to the client. In business coaching typically face to face coaching is required for at least the first session. Subsequent sessions can utilize other methods.
Video conferencing can be a great option for coaches or clients that prefer a face to face connection rather than just on the phone.
